The only source of emission in our mines are fuel oil and electrical energy that is used for the operations of the mine. Our products are manufactured to in a manner that uses minimum energy requirements.
We do not use water in our pumice purification facilities. Because of this, we do not have an outlet of contaminators originating from water and waste water. All of the materials mined in our mining operation are used in different areas depending on their sector.
The foreign stones extracted at the same time as the pumice is used for drainage, landscaping and road material. Therefore, no material goes to waste during the manufacturing process.
Our mining activities fall under the category of open-pit mining. Once we conclude our mining activities in an area, we lay down the top soil that we removed in order to give back the regions agricultural and pastural characteristics.
Our products are used in a wide range of areas and the energy needed for our products requiring heat treatment is provided from eco-friend energy sources such as electricity and LPG.
