Soylu Group is a group of companies that was established by Levent Soylu in 1981. The group entered the mining sector in 1983 producing and exporting pumice.
It earned itself an important position in the world pumice market by establishing a joint venture in Turkey and France with the French government company CIDEM (French Mineral Research and Exploration Institute) & the Kuwait Investment Authority in 1992.
Soylu allocated large funds for Research and Development in order to develop new products from pumice mineral in 2003 and started its operations in France.
As a result of this research, it created its own masonry unit brand in France with a very high insulation value ( PONCEBLOC ). This brandname is being used in Turkey today.
The company has also developed pumice-based products that clean oil spills in open seas and territorial waters (ECOPOMEX) and continues its developments under the consultancy of the French Institute of Petroleum.
The company entered industrial sectors by establishing a production facility for micronized pumice, and has opened up to the world market in the field of filtration.
With its 34 year experience in the international pumice sector, Soylu has placed Turkish pumice among products with high added value in the world market. It has adopted a mission to apply the product in various areas of use and continues its research to this end.
